He's The Perfect Dom But Will His Past Tear Them Apart?- Her Dom’s Secret Past by Suzy Shearer #MF #BDSM #EroticRomance

Heat Rating: Level 3
Word Count: 86,000

Blurb

When Anabelle Rowley, fifty-five, takes a two-week break at an exclusive beach-front villa, she meets a man—but not just any man. Instead, this one ticks every box on her imaginary boyfriend list.

For fifty-two-year-old John Ethan, going on a short vacation to recover from injury and moving to Australia comes rather fast. Imagine his surprise when he meets a woman who arouses his every desire.

Their holiday romance ignites fires in them both and this is something real, something long-lasting. But when Anabelle has to leave suddenly, neither has a way of finding the other again.

Will they ever be able to locate each other? And if they do, then John must reveal a secret, a secret that he fears Anabelle will never understand.

NOTE: This is told in 1st person POV from both the Hero and Heroine.

This is an erotic romance. There are explicit sexual descriptions and explicit language used throughout. It may offend some readers.

STORY EXCERPT:

Somehow, I’d managed to keep on my feet when the big wave crashed over Anabelle and me. She surfaced, spluttering, and I held out a hand. She let me help her up and I held her hand a little longer than necessary.

“Thank you, John.”

“You’re welcome. That was one big wave.”

“Sure was, but it’s fun.”

She was still grinning and I couldn’t help myself. I leaned toward her and our lips touched.
It was all I’d dreamed of and more. It was electrifying.

Our kiss was soft, tender, and a little unsure until I felt her press toward me. I put a hand behind her head and deepened the kiss. Oh yeah, I could get used to this.

We finally separated and gazed at each other. Her eyes had dilated slightly and her lips parted as she stared into my eyes.

“I couldn’t resist.”

"I … neither could I, John.”

“I’d certainly like to do it again.”

“Then maybe you should.”

We stood there, the waves crashing around us, as I kissed her again. This time I took my time reveling in the taste of her, mixed with the salty water. Her hands pressed against my chest.

When we stopped, I whispered, “I’ve wanted to kiss you since I first saw you reading.”

“You have?”

I nodded and traced her lips. Her eyes seemed to shut of their own accord as my fingers explored her gorgeous, full mouth. When she opened her eyes, I decided I should kiss her again.
It was wild.

The surf pounding against us, the sound of the ocean, and Anabelle in my arms. Another big wave hit us and sent us both under. I grabbed her hand as we fought our way back up to the surface.

“Sadly I have to accept that kissing and big waves don’t mix very well.”

She gave another of her lovely carefree laughs.

“I think you’re right. Come on up to my place and I’ll make you a coffee or tea.”

We waded back to shore. Anabelle picked up her towel and I realized mine was further down the beach.

“I’ll just get my towel and then join you.”

She nodded and continued walking back to her villa while I limped down to where I’d tossed my towel, picked it up, and then followed her into her villa. She’d thrown her towel on one of the outdoor chairs and was in the kitchen. I dropped my towel to join hers after drying off and walked to where she was. She turned to face me at my approach and it was all I could do not to grab her and kiss her again. Her face showed a little nervousness and I smiled.

“Coffee or tea?”

“Still an Englishman, it’s tea for me.”

“Do you want to try the Chinese White?”

“I’m sorry, I only drink black tea.”

She gave a giggle. “So do I. Chinese White is black tea, if that makes sense. It’s only the tiny top buds of the bush. Then after they’re picked they are left to dry naturally without any further processing. It’s a very delicate, smooth, and sweet-tasting tea, I love it.”

“In that case, I’d better try it.”

She nodded and set to making two mugs of tea. I sat down on one of the stools at the bench and studied her. I decided then and there that I’d never tire of watching her. She was so gorgeous. Those luscious curves of hers beckoned me non-stop and I thought I’d been semi-erect since I first saw her. She finished and put a mug in front of me, then another alongside it and came to sit on the stool next to me.

“Thanks.”

“You’re welcome.”

I took a sip of the tea and let it roll around my tongue. The taste surprised me, very light but fruity. Anabelle was right. It was very smooth with no bitter aftertaste that I sometimes got with black tea. She grinned at me and raised her eyebrows.

“It’s lovely. I think I may have to convert.”

“It’s delicious, isn’t it?”

We savored our tea in silence, except for the roar of the waves and the sound of the wind that was getting stronger as it blew through the trees. I wanted to learn all about this lovely woman, but what I actually wanted to do was kiss her again. I noticed her give a shiver.

“Cold?”

“A little.”

I stood and moved behind her, rubbing my hands up and down her arms.

“Maybe you should change into something warmer than this damp suit.”

Challenge Accepted by Annabeth Leong

Blurb:

After being shamed for her dominant desires too many times, Christine has resolved never to date a vanilla man again. She needs a man who knows he's submissive, and she's determined to hold out until she finds one.

Until she meets Sam, that is. Christine can't bring herself to turn down the handsome parkour aficionado, so instead she tries to scare him off with an intensely kinky first date.

When Sam meets her extreme challenges head-on, Christine must decide if he can become the man to serve her every need—in the bedroom, and in her life.

------

-----

Excerpt:

Even seeing only her back, Sam had no trouble recognizing Christine as he carried a sack of dirty clothes into the basement laundry room of his new apartment building. He’d liked her tall, thick frame the moment he’d caught her watching him, and he liked the way she moved. She folded clothes with sure, clean gestures. He’d been an athlete for enough of his life that he could immediately spot a woman in full control of her body and presence.

He hefted the laundry onto his shoulder and assumed a casual stance. He made his movements feel easy so they would look easy. “Christine.”

She turned. He liked that she didn’t jump. Maybe she knew he was coming.

He saw her reacting to him—gaze flicking down his body, body shifting to emphasize her hip. Her eyes were fierce, not welcoming. She looked as if she might be about to set him on fire. Apart from that, though, her nod was polite and distant.

Stretching and making a show of it, he set the laundry down beside a free machine. He didn’t know what to think of the contradictions he read in her body language. He was intrigued and wanted to get to know her. She, on the other hand, wasn’t being clear about what she wanted. He couldn’t tell if she was hoping he’d strike up a conversation or wishing he’d drop his clothes into the wash and get the hell out.

Sam had been raised in the type of family that communicated in code, and he didn’t like it. The only way he knew to make sense of the world was to speak his mind. “You up for company?”

She hesitated. “I think so,” she said finally.

“I’m glad.” His voice came out softer than he’d intended, his tone deferent.

There was something about Christine that made him want to address her that way. He stole glances as he started a washer. She dressed professionally, but not in an imposing way. Her body looked strong, but her shoulders were relaxed, her face at ease. She didn’t loom or intimidate, though he imagined she could if she wanted to. She had big, dark eyes and rich, brown skin. Her features weren’t delicate—he liked the bold lines of her nose and jaw—but neither were they harsh. The only hint of real severity he could see was in the way she wore her hair—straightened to within an inch of its life and sharply restrained.

“The weather’s gotten nice,” Sam said, reaching for an easy conversation starter. “Anything you’re looking forward to doing now?”

Christine shrugged. “Not wearing a heavy jacket.” Was that a touch of humor in the curve of her lips? He wasn’t sure.

“Definitely.” Sam kept his voice light. “You recognized parkour. Is that your sport?”

She laughed. "Afraid not." Sam wondered if she was warming to him, but she was still so difficult to read. He hated the idea of lingering where he wasn’t wanted.

“Look,” he said. “I’d like to get to know you. I’d like to take you out sometime. Are you interested?” He had a nice Italian restaurant in mind if she said yes. If she said no, he’d ignore the flickers of interest he kept feeling from her.

She didn’t agree or refuse, though. Instead, she looked pained. “Why would you ask me that? We’ve got nothing in common.”

Sam stepped back, holding up his hands. “I asked because I wanted to know your answer,” he said, the words low and even. “If you’re not, it’s cool. I won’t bother you about it.” He’d be disappointed, of course, but he wasn’t the kind of jerk who would try to make a woman feel guilty about turning him down.

Christine reached toward him but dropped her arm just before she made contact. “You couldn’t handle me.”

Sam probably should have walked away at that point, but he’d noticed the way she’d almost touched him and the stubborn part of him couldn’t let the challenge pass. “What do you mean, I couldn’t handle you?”

Familiar anger rose to his chest. In high school, everyone had assumed he was a nerd because he was Chinese. He’d been told he wouldn’t be able to handle being on the football team, wouldn’t be able to handle American-style boxing—though everyone also seemed to expect him to be an expert at Wing Chun—and wouldn’t be able to handle going with the other guys on the team to play pranks on the local rivals.

Sam had responded to each of those challenges by proving his doubters wrong, doing everything better and harder than the people who had questioned him. He’d given up on obligatory popular sports to focus on parkour, but there was still a part of him that thrilled each time he pulled off a difficult move, exulting that, yet again, he’d shown them.

Christine’s skin darkened with a blush, but she lifted her chin defiantly. “I’m kinky, okay? I doubt you’re ready for that.”

Sam blinked. “Wow, okay. That seems like something we could sort out after we go on a date and find out if we like each other. No need to jump ahead.”

“No point.” She shook her head, the gesture firm and dismissive. “It’s a waste of time to get to know each other if we’re just going to wind up incompatible.”

“Really?” Sam bristled. It irritated him when women assumed a Chinese guy wouldn’t know anything about sex, and he hoped that wasn’t what was going on. “I have heard about that book, you know. The one all the women are reading.”

“No, that’s not what I’m talking about. I like to be the one on the handle end of the flogger. You don’t want it, trust me.”

Sam had almost no idea what that entailed, but he pressed, annoyed that she’d presumed to tell him what he would and wouldn’t want. “How do you know? Talk to me about it first. Try me.”

“If you don’t already know about it, it’s just not going to work. I promise.”

Sam had never been aware of an interest in kink, but he couldn’t stand assumptions. “Tell me straight-out what you want to do,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest. “I’ll tell you whether or not I want to do it.”

Christine stared as if he’d suggested a really strange plan. It reminded Sam of so many movies he’d seen, times when characters acted like telling the truth was such an odd and original thing to come up with. “I don’t know…” she said.

He grabbed his now-empty laundry bag. The fabric snapped as he yanked it through the air. The fresh, warm scent pouring from the dryers seemed sour in that moment. “Or turn me down. Just don’t tell me what I can and can’t handle.”

Again, she moved as if she wanted to take hold of his wrist and stop him. Sam paused, trying to make it clear he would let her if that was what she wanted to do. They were still for a while, and then he gave up and walked to the door.

“Wait,” Christine said before he could leave.

“Yeah?”

“Maybe. Do you use IM? Can we talk later?”

He shrugged. “Sure.” This was probably another part of the brush-off. Maybe she thought it would be nicer if she offered to chat online. He didn’t particularly like that tactic, but he didn’t feel like criticizing it now. Without expecting to hear from her again, he gave her his username.

She Has A Secret Gift And Love, Will It Destroy Her Chance At Happiness? Iris Dawn by Alexa Cole

Blurb

Sandra is a telepath from a long line of female telepaths, and she has just met the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, she has to put that dream on hold when her sister becomes ill. Sandra is the only person who can reach into Carol's mind and relieve the pain of stunted telepathic growth.

But when the healing process takes much longer than anticipated, Sandra discovers her own pain. Will the extended separation from Gray and the unrevealed secret of her gift destroy their relationship before it even has a chance to blossom?

Excerpt

“Tonight. Dinner, candlelight. Please say yes.”

Startled out of her concentration on the book, Sandra glanced up and found herself quickly stifling a tiny gasp. The body that greeted her eyes was just as sensual as the voice. Velvety chocolate skin. Burgundy pullover and gray slacks. Hazel eyes calm, knowing, but too full of laughter to be called wise.

Wrenching herself back from the momentary lapse into Candy Land, Sandra pursed her lips as she responded with one lifted eyebrow: “Say yes? But I don't even know you. You could be some maniac who'll chop me up into little pieces and stuff me down the garbage disposal.”

“Ah, but I know you,” he responded with unshakeable poise. “I've noticed you in this bookstore for weeks now. You read science fiction and occasionally dabble in the occult section. A woman with imagination as well as great beauty. Please say yes.”

Those eyes. That's what did it. For reassurance, she used her rare talent to probe the edges of his mind ever so slightly. Yep, the brother's for real, she thought with relief and a smile.

* * * * *

A little while later, Sandra emerged from the South Street bookstore with a definite bounce in her step and Gray's phone number in her cell phone. She paused, trying to decide what to do next. Two seconds was about all it took for her to conclude that the next couple of hours should be dedicated to beautification—of her, that is, not the Philadelphia streets. “A girl's got to look her best to feel her best,” was her motto. For the second time that morning, she dug her cell phone out of her pocketbook. Using speed dial, she paced the sidewalk as she waited for her best friend to pick up.

“C'mon, Marsha,” she murmured aloud.

A few rings later, Sandra heard, “Talk to me, girl.”

“What're you doin' right now?”

“Laundry. Why? You have something more exciting to offer? Not that it gets much more mundane than laundry,” Marsha replied with an overly dramatic sigh.

Sandra laughed. “Cool. Meet me at 16th and Walnut in fifteen minutes.”

“Why? And where are you now?”

“I'm at 5th and South right outside Books That Bind. The 'why' is if I don't tell somebody about this gorgeous man I just met, I will literally scream.”

“Say no more. I'm putting on my shoes right now. Haven't heard little Miss Always-Got-It-Under-Control this frazzled since, well, never. What's at 16th and Walnut anyway?”

“Manicure and pedicure. Lola's Nail Emporium. My treat. Got to look right for tonight. Ooh, that rhymed. I must be on fire today!”

“Yeah, right.” Marsha snickered. “But ya know I am not one to pass up a free beauty treatment, so I'll see you in a few. Bye.”

 * * * * *

At the salon, the two friends spent long minutes debating the pros and cons of various shades of nail polish, picking up and putting down one after another of the dozens of bottles lined up on the tiny shelves affixed to one wall. They meticulously considered each color's name as if the secret to lifelong happiness were held within. Sandra finally decided on a pale pink called Spun Sugar for her fingernails and Intoxicating Fuchsia for her toes. Marsha opted for a deep burgundy, Devilish Delight, for both fingers and toes, a shade they both agreed played well against her deep-cinnamon coloring.

Shoes and socks off, they took their seats on their temporary thrones: behemoth pedicure chairs bolted down side by side. Each of the pedicurists turned on the whirlpool jets, and hot, scented water swirled soothingly around their feet. As they luxuriated in the warmth, Marsha turned to Sandra and said, “Okay, I've waited patiently till we're nice and comfy like you wanted. Time to spill it, lady.”

With a somewhat embarrassed giggle, Sandra proceeded to explain. “He makes me feel unsettled, but in a good way. Like any moment something terrifically wonderful and new is going to take hold of my life. And my oh my, he is too fine on top of it. You should see how he was put together for just running around on a Saturday morning. I know I'm usually so cynical. But this time…”

“All right, that means just one thing. You did your whammy number, didn't you?” Marsha asked accusingly.

Sandra bit her lip and didn't say a word.

“No, no, no,” Marsha groaned.

Glancing at the pedicurists sitting on low stools scrubbing and smoothing their feet, Marsha lowered her voice to a fierce whisper.

“You know that never ends up in a good place. Folks aren't ready for mind-readers, not even when they're as sweet and perky as you. Start that mess with that man, and you're gonna scare him away. Listen to me, Sandra. Need I remind you of that fiasco with Richard? Did he even stop to open the door when he ran out of your apartment screaming, or did he just bust right through it like some crazed cartoon character? And as for Barry, don't even wanna go there. Try to play this one the way the rest of us mere mortals have to: no special talent; no peeking at what's really going on in his head. I'm beggin' you, leave the Deanna Troi crap for Star Trek.”

“I know you're right,” Sandra said, sighing and staring at her hands clenched in her lap. “But he feels so different. And I need to know it's not just wishful thinking on my part. I am so tired of lousy relationships. I promise I'll be careful. He won't suspect a thing. Besides, I have to go in to work for a little while tomorrow to gear up for Monday, so you'll be happy to know I won't have a whole lotta time for gettin' into trouble.”

“Humph, don't give me that. I happen to remember you never go in till the afternoon when your all-consuming job requires a weekend appearance,” Marsha replied knowingly. “That leaves plenty of time for whatever. Just call me tomorrow and give me the rundown on the entire evening.”

“Done,” Sandra promised her friend with a smile. “And by the way, Deanna's an empath, not a full telepath.” Marsha just gave Sandra a flat, hard stare that ended with Sandra rolling her eyes and both of them tittering like adolescent schoolgirls.

Excerpt

His breath caught in his throat as Gabriela emerged from the SUV. She was dressed in a T-shirt, jeans, and purple Converse sneakers. Her honeyed skin and unruly curls were radiant in the afternoon sun.

She reached him first. He extended his hand for a shake. “Gabriela.”

She ignored it to press in for a hug, which he returned stiffly, hyperaware of her soft, warm body against his fast-hardening one. Seemed his body hadn’t forgotten her either. He clenched his jaw as vanilla and jasmine wafted from her hair. She was considerably shorter without the heels, and hell if he didn’t love the greater height difference.

All too soon, she pulled back, her hands still at his waist, and beamed up at him. “Samuel.”

His name sounded exotic and sensual with her slight accent.

He cleared his throat. “Sam.”

“Sam,” she said softly, and his mouth dried in response to the husky tone. The woman could make financial reports sound X-rated with that voice of hers.

“Please, call me Gabi.”

Pearl's Protector. Book One of The Paranormal Contemporary Interracial Romance; Raven's Falls

Blurb

No matter how hard she tries, Dehlia Lee McQueen can’t seem to overcome her feelings for her boss, the vampire; Niall Cowan. The steamy encounter they shared in his office haunts her days later after the breakup and she tries to find a way to get him off her mind.

The little Friday night visit to Club Ravenous is just what two neophyte witches need to take their mind off McQueen duties and let their hair down for an evening—but there is no rest for the wicked. A demon appears to them at the club and they discover a new threat looming in Raven’s Falls.

Even though she was the one to break it off with him, Niall knows he can never let Dehlia go. Silently he stalks her in the night and follows her to Club Ravenous and decides to make his move on her. He wants to pick up where they left off, but he shelters a dark secret from the past—one that Dehlia may have a hard time forgiving.

Excerpt

Dehlia Lee McQueen piled her shoulder length tightly coiled hair on top of her head and gave herself another glimpse in the mirror. Her long black lashes formed a luscious veil over her brown eyes. The dusky shade of eye shadow with a hint of silver flecks highlighted the gold shimmery shadow above it. The liquid eyeliner she used adorned her almond shaped eyes while the berry blush made her cheekbones stand out.

“Perfect.” She purred before removing the red silk robe and donning a black leather bustier with a matching black skirt that stopped just above the knee. She pulled the zipper up in the middle of the form fitting bustier and gave her bosoms a slight push upward. Now she was ready to blow off some steam at Club Ravenous far on the other side of town. After being fired by Niall over a week ago, she fully immersed herself in McQueen magic to keep busy--to keep herself from initiating contact with him. She needed some way to forget about her love interest and move along with her life.

Unfortunately, she noticed that magic was not her forte and felt something was missing. She even toyed around with casting a spell to completely remove Niall from her heart and mind, but Jasmine had warned her this could somehow backfire on her. McQueen magic couldn’t be her destiny and all she had to offer as a witch and a person.

A knock jolted her from her thoughts and her cousin, Jasmine’s voice filtered in through the oak double doors.

“Dehlia, girl, are you ready?”

Dehlia slipped several gold bangles on her left wrist and her delicate gold designer watch on the other. “Just a moment,” she chimed before securing the ruby pendent on a gold chain around her neck. With a sigh of satisfaction, she walked over to the door and opened it.

Jasmine rushed in with a large smile on her face. “Oh, look at you.” She closed the doors behind her and leaned against the wall. “You’re going to knock em dead girlie!”

“Thank you for suggesting we get out for a while. You’re right, I do need a break.” Dehlia returned to her gold trimmed vanity mirror and picked up her favorite fuchsia lipstick and carefully applied it.

“You’re looking pretty awesome there, yourself cuz,” she observed with a smile. Jasmine sported a knee length black and red designer dress and a black bolero jacket and knee length patent leather boots. Usually the young woman pulled her hair up into a topknot bun, but tonight, her long wavy tresses rained past her shoulders. Her dark brown skin glinted with a hint of golden makeup.

“Well, we’ve both been hitting the books pretty hard. Tobias is a slave driver, never letting up.” Jasmine smiled, flashing her perfectly white teeth.

“He means well, he just wants us to be prepared since he is an advanced witch.”

“I can’t wait until I’m at Rose’s level. Hey, enough talk about witchery. Are you trying to replace Niall with another?”

“How’d you know?”

“It’s written all over your face. Girl, you’re on the rebound.”

“The possibilities are endless, but I wish I could easily erase Niall from my mind,” Dehlia stated boldly. “He really hurt me last week, Jasmine and I just need to forget about him, even if it’s only temporary.”

“Are you secretly trying to make Niall jealous?” Jasmine’s heels clicked against the shiny wooden floors of Dehlia’s chambers as she walked over to her. “I know you’re upset over him but have you tried to contact him?”

Dehlia sighed and in agitation, tapped her French-manicured nails against her vanity. “Between me and you, I’m furious at the fucker.” She turned, put a hand on her hip and paced the floor.

“How dare he fire me for something I had no control over. And further more, why should I contact him? He’s the one who booted me out of his life.”  A pain resonated across her chest at the episode in Niall’s office. That night, she’d returned home and stormed into her chambers, but Jasmine was just going to bed and without thinking, she poured her heart out. “Thanks for lending an ear, I really needed to talk to you, and I’m not sure if Rose would have understood me.”

“It’s okay,” Jasmine assured her. “But should you really give up on him without a fight? I know he’s a vampire, but you’re in love with him babe.”

“I don’t want to think about this because it hurts to much Jasmine.”

“Fine. But, surely your paths will cross again. If so, what will you do? You can’t avoid the man forever. I’m telling you, I’m sensing we’ll run into him tonight. Are you looking to bed him down if you too somehow are able to patch things up? You know what will happen if you allow him to feed on you.”

“Yes, I’m aware of Clara’s curse and it got me thinking last week.”

Jasmine sucked in a breath. “About what? How to lift it? Girl, you’re crazy if that’s what you were thinking.”

“Look, it hurts like hell and I want some semblance of a normal life without a stupid curse hanging over my head. I’ve liked Niall for years now and I’ve always put those feelings off because of McQueen destiny. It’s up to me to think for myself.” She held her head down for a few seconds and quickly looked at her cousin. “Even if it means giving up my powers. Oh Jasmine, if I still have a chance with him, then yes, I’ll give up my powers. But I’m not going to pursue him.”

“You’re letting pride stand in the way. Why go to the club, just go and see him.”

Dehlia shook her head stubbornly. “Yup, I guess I am stubborn. Let him pursue me.”

“Uh-uh, the easy way out. So if he doesn’t come to you first, then you have nothing to worry about, right?”  The young witch frowned.

“C’mon Jasmine, lay off.”

“I know you better than you know yourself.” Jasmine teased. “Maybe you’re banking on him showing up at the club—to make him jelly. Um-hmmm.”

Dehlia nudged her cousin with a smile. “Stop.”

“Yeah, see that? I knew it!” So, say we do run into him and let’s say you succeed in your little campaign of getting him jealous. You bed him—then what, genius? You know what will happen.”

“I’ll cross that bridge if and when I get to it,” Dehlia admitted with a sigh.

Jasmine shook her head stubbornly. “You’re hoping it will.”

“I haven’t been truly happy in years. Niall’s a vampire, I’m a McQueen; you can’t help who you fall in love with. When I’m with him---He makes me feel so much, like a longing that’s being satisfied. I don’t know if you can understand what I’m trying to say.”

“Yes, I think I do. He’s possibly your anchor, your soul mate, like Rose and Storm are soul mates. Clara and Micah too. Even so, you know the consequences. Are you prepared to take them on if this comes to pass?” Jasmine asked.

“At this point in my life--yes.”

“Does he know about your secret?”

Jasmine’s words were like ice water washing over her. Dehlia sucked her teeth, a little nervous habit she’d picked up since the Blood Moon. “Let’s not go there.”

“Listen, if you two have another chance, he should know before the two of you have sex. I mean, I’ve had my doubts about you and him, but you’re my cousin so I want to help you any way I can.”

She smiled. “That means a lot to me, it really does. If only Rose felt the same.”

“Everyone has their opinions on the matter,” Jasmine explained, “It’s no big deal, so let’s go. It’s eight o’clock and everyone else is either out and about or asleep.”

“Rose and Storm?”

“I haven’t seen them since yesterday.” Jasmine told her. “They’re probably off on one of their romantic getaways. And they really deserve one. I think she’s finally learned the meaning of balance, and Storm sure as hell has been looking very happy these days.”

“Good, I don’t need Rose sticking her nose in my business.” Dehlia walked over and opened her walk-in closet. She bit her lip as she plucked her best pair of thigh high leather boots with the gold tips from the shelf and flopped on her black velvet Chaise Lounge to put them on.

“She’s only looking out for your best interest,” Jasmine reminded her gently. “She and Storm put up a hell of a fight.”

“We all put up a hell of a fight. Tonight I’m partying until the sun comes up.” Dehlia zipped the last boot and slipped into her black leather jacket.

“Who’s driving?”

“I will.” Dehlia snickered.

“Awesome! I’m planning on having a few drinks too.” Jasmine chortled. “And if we both get smashed, we’ll just call a taxi.”

“Sounds like a plan to me.”

“Cool, let’s blow this joint.” Jasmine entwined her arm around her cousins’ and they headed down to the garage.

The flames licking inside her were too much to take, along with his roaming hand. She leaned forward and grasped the chilled wine goblet as a lifeline. When he nudged her lips to take a second taste, she pressed them together, holding her finger up and then laughing because he couldn’t see it in the dark. She took a long cool sip, more from Jonah’s effect on her than the food. She licked her lips then tucked herself against him, momentarily satisfied.

“Better?

“Mmm.” Cam sighed. “When’s it your turn? I’m having all the fun.”

“I’m having a good time feeding you.”

“You’re not hungry?” In the dark, his heart pounded against her cheek. “I’m hungry, all right. Ravenous, even.” Jonah caressed her thigh. Cam had no doubt his eyes would scorch her to her very soul. His lazy trail along her skin left her smoldering in need. She let him ply her with another skewer to distract from the throb at the apex of her thighs. She sucked a piece of pineapple he held between his fingers. Juices trickled down her chin. He mopped the stream of liquid with the pad of his thumb and nosily sucked it off. Holy bananas, she wanted a taste of him now. Her mind kept rewinding to the feel of his finger parting her lips.

“I uh…need to use the ladies’ room.” Cam pressed the button on the table for assistance and slid off of Jonah’s lap and into her seat. Seconds later, her guide assisted her out of her chair and slid it back in.

“Here we go, Ms. Knox.”

She stepped awkwardly away from the table. Along the way, she heard soft sighs and giggles. Definitely some hard-core kissing action. The idea of giving in to the dark side and making out in public heightened her ardor. A loud bang startled her. She jumped, almost losing Cesaire’s grasp.

“Don’t worry Ms. Knox. Almost there.” A few more steps and he ushered her into a space where dim lighting burned her dilated pupils for a moment before her eyes adjusted. He sat on a lounge chair between two doors marked Men and Women. The dim glow brought her normal self-conscious thoughts raging forward. In the dark Jonah couldn’t see her physical flaws. Would that change once he saw the real her?

Excerpt:

The man grabbed the front of Alexis’s dress and pulled. The thin material gave way with a soft tear, exposing Alexis’s breasts and the small silver hoops in her nipples.

“No. No.” The screams tore from Luca’s throat. He saw red. “I’ll fucking kill you if you touch her, you hear me? I’ll kill you.”

The man walked over to him and grasped his jaw. “Threats, doctor?” He shook his head. “Always the quiet ones.” He pulled a familiar looking scarf from his pocket and held it up.

Luca gasped. The aqua and teal hand-painted silk scarf had been a gift to Alex, one he’d presented her with on their trip to France three years before. Since then she’d used the scarf as a sort of signal to him. A signal. Luca stared at the scarf, at the man holding it, his tongue frozen. His brain was slow in catching up with what the scarf meant.

The intruder didn’t speak, and the room was so silent, he could’ve heard a pin drop. Luca couldn’t take his eyes from the scarf. He blew out a breath, and the scarf moved, sort of waving in the wind, and he blinked. He looked at Alexis where she sat, brown skin shiny with sweat, bound and gagged, blindfolded, and his heart kicked into overdrive.

He lowered his head slightly, gaze on the man in front of him, and he saw it when the big man’s shoulders relaxed. Then he moved, lightning fast, tying the scarf around Luca’s mouth, silencing his voice.

“Now.” The man sounded pleased with himself. “I’m going to go over there, doctor, and I’ll do whatever I want with the beautiful Alexis, and you’ll watch me do it.” He pressed the gun under Luca’s chin, lifting his head. “Won’t you?”

Luca glared at him and fisted his hands, daring him silently. His stomach churned, and his palms grew sweaty. Hot anticipation rolled cross his skin as he held his breath. And waited.

The man—J, he should start calling him that in his mind—walked back to Alexis’s side and knelt. Luca tensed, fingers curling into his palm.

“So beautiful.” J touched Alexis’s face then pulled off the blindfold and the gag, and for a second there Luca thought the man’s hand trembled. “Open for me, pretty Alex.” J rubbed two fingers across Alex’s bottom lip, and when she parted her lips, he pushed those fingers inside her mouth.

A sound burst from Luca’s throat as he watched Alexis suck on the man’s fingers. The same fingers that were on the gun’s trigger earlier. The same fingers that tied them up. Those fingers his wife sucked on. She sucked them greedily, hungrily, and Luca found himself hooked on the wet sounds and the low noises the man—J—made. Echoes of pleasure.

He should look away. Except looking away didn’t do a damn thing to mute the wet suction as Alexis bobbed on the two fingers shoved down her throat.

“Good girl,” J whispered. “You like that, don’t you, pretty Alexis? Sucking?”

Luca’s wife made a sound, a whimper that hit Luca in the gut. He locked his jaw, fingernails biting into his palm. Alexis’s nipples were hard, pointing at him, the piercings winking as she breathed in and out.

J pulled his fingers out of her mouth, and Alexis made a disappointed sound, chasing after those fingers. J chuckled. He pulled something from his boots, something that gleamed when it caught the light.

A knife.

Oh fuck.
