Excerpt:

“Why John Deacon, Sam?” Grady’s hands tightened on the steering wheel.

I threw my hands up. “It could be Jesus Christ himself signing my paycheck and I’d still be doing it for the same reasons! The job works for my family. What is your problem with John Deacon? And don’t tell me nothing—you owe me more than that.”

“Maybe I’m just jealous.” Grady stared ahead. “Like you said.”

My stomach did a loop. “Don’t use your charm on me, I’m immune—”

“You think I’m charming?”

“Hell no, I don’t! And particularly not when you’re avoiding my question.”

“But you said I had charm.” He tilted his head and gave me a long, sly look from the corner of his eyes. His teeth flashed white from that tanned face and I nearly had to fan myself when I realized I loved the feeling of Grady teasing me.

I threw my hands up in the air. “I give up!”

He wanted to talk about confusing? All I knew about Grady prior to this day was that he was six-foot-two of gorgeous and about as warm as a polar bear on the North Pole in January. And now—

Days of Desire by Tina Donahue- This Pirate's Prize Is A Very Beautiful Woman #RomanceNovel #Historical

Days of Desire

Book Two - Pirate's Prize

Available for Preorder - Ready to Read July 4

Blurb:

In a pirate’s lair, nothing is as it seems . . .

Shipwrecked! When Royce Hastings is found washed up on the shore of a verdant tropical island, he tells the natives he is a merchant headed for Mozambique. The truth, however, is far more mercenary. Noble by birth, the once favored Royce has lost his fortune and family; now he is a hired henchman on the trail of an elusive pirate. His “shipwreck” was a fake. He’ll stop at nothing to infiltrate the island and capture his prey. His mother and sisters’ lives depend on it.

The last thing Royce expects is to be captured himself. But the lovely young woman who tends to his wounds in the tropics quickly takes hold of his heart. Simone is the island’s healer, and her skilled ministrations not only awaken his soul but disturb his conscience. His path has been predetermined; his identity must remain concealed at all costs. Yet the passion he feels in Simone’s sultry, loving arms cannot be denied. With his loyalties torn, Royce must make an agonizing, unthinkable choice.

“The story is brimming with risqué retorts and searing sex scenes.”
Publishers Weekly on Passionate Pursuit

Excerpt:

Of all the people to discover him, Royce hadn’t expected such a beautiful young woman. Simone the other native had said.

She couldn’t have been older than twenty. Her light brown skin complemented her dark hair. The ends grazed her waist. He detected a bit of European in her exotic features, and island custom in what little she wore. Simply a red silk cloth tied about her hips. Her breasts were full and lush, begging for a man’s touch.

Wary that she might scream, he’d released her quickly and had expected her to run.

She checked his arms, hands, and head. He supposed for injuries.

At last, she finished and peeked at him.

Cautiously, he pushed up, hoping she wouldn’t bolt.

She sat back on her heels.

Needing an ally here, he tried a smile.

Hers was wondrous, broad and carefree, no deception or caution in her soft brown eyes.

His arrival would eventually change that. No better way to destroy a woman’s trust and happiness than wresting her from an island Eden to imprisonment, lifelong slavery, repeated rape, and birthing children only to have them torn away.

Guilt and shame churned in his gut. Fear for his family competed with the other emotions. “Are you the only one here?” Besides, Tristan, his crew, and the other island woman. Their conversation had mentioned Tristan, but not Diana or Peter.

Simone tilted her head. A tress fell across her breast. Confusion swept her lovely face.

Royce had deliberately spoken English so she wouldn’t know he’d heard her speak French earlier when he’d feigned unconsciousness. He next tried Portuguese and received her same bewildered reaction. At last, he used her language.

Her eyes lit up. “My people live here. Once we have you in the stone house, I can see to your injury.” She touched his thigh. “Does it hurt?”

Not as much as when he’d arrived on this shore. “My head is worse.”

She brushed back his hair, her touch as light as an angel’s.

Despite his callous intent here, and what prudence demanded, his lids slid down, his heart pounding as hard as it had when she’d stroked his ribs.

She explored his wound carefully. “I can make a potion to take your pain away. As soon as the men arrive I—”

Voices and footfalls interrupted.

Tristan led the way, his manner and appearance precisely as rumor had described: tall, golden skin, blond hair, and light eyes that offered naught except challenge and possibly death if anyone dared threatened him or those he loved. Following him was an equally tall man with long red hair, his face and chest freckled. Had to be James Sullivan, Tristan’s friend and former quartermaster during their piracy.

An adolescent boy, fifteen or so, brought up the rear. Gangly, as youth were prone to be, he had long dark hair streaked with blond, his skin brown from days outdoors. Diana’s brother, Peter. His features matched Bishop’s depiction.

Tristan, James, Peter, and island men trained their pistols on Royce.

The land to their side jutted out, rocky and reddish as those found in Madagascar. A white woman stood there, wind whipping her dark hair and simple sheath-like gown in violet silk. Her slightly rounded belly didn’t prove pregnancy, though Royce would have staked his life on it. She wore a choker about her throat, the diamonds glittering in the light.

Royce’s pulse pounded. Diana was here, as Bishop had predicted. Along with too many armed men, as Royce had feared, though all islanders, not pirates.

But in a business where appearances are everything will Gidget’s secret relationship with the sexy doctor cause her to have unforeseen detrimental consequences.

Story Excerpt

Gidget held her breath for a moment. He wanted to meet. Oh god, what does he look like sounding like that? His voice already caused her sex to tingle and become moist. Gidget was starting to lose her mind. She could only imagine how sexy he looked. Her mind filled with images of a tall mysterious creature.

“I was referred by your friend Adrian Clint. She said that you might have time to help me with things. Do you have an appointment available? I know you are quite the busy lady.” As Cortland had continued to talk, Gidget heard a trace of an accent.

Where was it from? Oh my, she thought to herself, please not from Great Britain

Gidget knew that she had a weakness for the British accent. This only fueled her fantasies more.

Gidget, trying to remain calm, took a deep breath and answered him. “Yes, I do have time.  You’re in luck. In fact an opening just came up. I’m free.” She paused for a moment, fighting back her nerves, then continued. “In about, mmm, let’s say an hour. Will that work for you, Mr. Lord?”

What if he said no? Please, Keegan, she scolded herself internally. It’s not like you asked him to be yours for the rest of your life.

Gidget sat back, stunned at her last thought. Why did her brain go there? She hadn’t even seen this guy.

But to Gidget’s relief, Cortland began to talk again. “Yes, that will work. But I need to ask you a favor. I was wondering.” He hesitated for a moment. “If you could come to my business address?”

“Sure, I could do that. Where are you located?” Gidget picked up a pen and waited for the address. Cortland, with a smile to his voice, confirmed with Gidget that he’d reached her on her cell phone. Once she confirmed that he indeed had, he said he would shoot it right over.

“I’m in San Diego so it might take you a little longer than an hour to get here. I look forward to our meeting, Ms. Keegan.”

“Likewise, Mr. Lord.”

“Until then, Ms. Keegan.” And with that the rich sultry voice was gone. Here iPhone buzzed and alerted her the address had arrived. She smiled, happy it had made it to her. She texted him back to let him know she had indeed received the address and she would see him soon. He sent a nice message back about looking forward to their meeting again.

Gidget put her iPhone down on her desk. She sighed. She sat there for a moment and let what just happen settle in. Yes, she had done this plenty of times before. She might be a little rusty but it was easy, something that came naturally to her.

Gidget stopped her train of thought. What was she thinking about? Her conversation in her head was ambiguous even to her. She had been thinking about how it had been a while since she had taken a meeting with a new client who was LA based, with the exception of Adrian. But she knew her thoughts had shifted to something entirely different. His silky voice had turned her on. It had been a long time since someone had stirred a reaction in her like Mr. Cortland Lord had.

In fact, she had never felt a feeling like the one that burned deep inside her sexual seas.
Gidget tried to repress the feeling but remembering his voice was making it hard to think straight. She wondered how the hell his voice could fuck her up in such a manner. She knew she had to release her pent-up sexual fire if she ever hoped to restore some kind of balance to her whirling mind.

Quickly Gidget locked her door to her office and shut the windows. She tapped a hidden panel on the wall behind her desk that was shrouded by the wood trim of the walls. She punched in the five-digit code into the black-faced keypad to unlock her hidden private back office which served as her home away from home.

Gidget heard the all-familiar sound of compressed air being released as the large crystal glass door, which had an etched frosty white phoenix rising from the ashes and flame embedded in it, slid open to reveal the concealed sanctuary. At a glance, the door could be mistaken for a piece of modern art in her office. But once on the inside of the private space, Gidget had a view into her office because the crystal door was made of two-way glass.

She quickly crossed the tan-colored carpet and came to rest on her California King bed. She sat there atop her plush, velvet, aqua duvet for a moment, thinking about his voice. But something about this was off. She then spotted her cozy settee.

“Oh, this is just right,” Gidget said as she settled into the settee. She had found her spot where she could set herself free. And she did.

* * * *

“Oh my god.” Escaped Gidget’s lips as she finished her self-satisfying moment. She stared at the ceiling as she caught her breath.

Her mind wandered back to what was ahead for her. Her naked body trembled with anticipation as she thought of Cortland’s sexy voice once more.

“Mr. Lord, my fantasy of you didn’t disappoint,” Gidget spoke out loud to herself.  “But will you?” Gidget knew this question would be answered soon.

Dreamtime Sensuality; An Anthology by David Russell

Excerpt

She handed him a volume of the collected poems of John Donne. “Now, I think you know which one I want you to read me. Hmm…while we’ve been working together, I bet you’ve had some reveries of me undressing, you undressing me.”

“I have to admit that is so and I know which poem you mean, it’s Elegy Nineteen—To His Mistress Going to Bed.

“We really are on the same wavelength darling. I had learned of that poem as a young girl, with a desperate desire one day to enact it. Every word of it struck home as I disrobed alone, for years I yearned for that lovely partner to give me those instructions live.”

Ferdinand beamed, then quoted from near the end of the poem referring to the poet’s nakedness at the beginning of the action. Then he proceeded to read, with his lovely, hypnotic voice.

He really made Hecate’s girdle feel like Saturn’s rings As she undid her sash and cast it down, she felt her abdomen was bathed in heavenly light, visible only to spiritual eyes.

The request to remove her ‘breastplate’ gave her an etheric shudder. Taking off the brooch at the top of her dress felt like casting away a shield, affirming that strife and combat had been replaced by love.

In response to the exhortation to unlace, she felt deliciously nervous as her fingers twitched on her zips and buttons.

As the gown went off following the next command, Hecate felt she had emerged from a perennial cocoon, that she was the sun liberated from the constricting veils of night.

As for a ‘coronet’, Hecate was only wearing a slide, but removing it certainly helped her locks flow freely.

It was great to feel liberated from footwear; earlier on her high heels had felt so sexy. But now her stockinged feet tingled with electric desire.

With her underwear, admittedly she found nylon, calico and silk sexier than linen, but the word, so sensually uttered, really relevant.

The full-frontal revelation was more meaningful as neither of them was naturists, so they were shielded against any anticlimax.

“Hello, Aphrodite,” said Ferdinand

“Hello, Adonis,” she replied.

Their love was so sweet, so strong, yet so tender, it almost felt as if their gender boundaries were melting with their climax, which occurred three times.
