Paranormal Love Wednesday- WIP Sequel To The Ferae

An Excerpt To My Sequel 'Blood Bond- The Ferae'

Evan Roberts sat down on the bench in the Beautiful Gardens.  The honking of cars along with sounds of people starting their day filled the air.  He opened a plastic bottle and drank the umber colored liquid inside.  The tea, felt cool refreshing on his tongue.  It quenched the harsh thirst his body had built in such a short amount of time.  He checked his watch.  Despite it being 7 am in the morning, the heat was already climbing.  But that was to be expected in downtown Erbil.  The kurdish city, nestled deep in the heart of Kurdistan felt like a slice of paradise in a sea of strife.

Though the entire region was tearing itself apart, the Kurd's managed to carve out bit of  peace and prosperity for themselves.  But it, like most places in the middle east, was mostly devoid of their kind.  Driven out by those who feared them and did not understand their ways, all of the remaining Ferae enclaves collapsed under the weight of centuries of hunting, bringing the native Ferae presence down to zero in the region.

Not an unfamiliar story for their people, it still broke his heart whenever he heard of the people being wiped from existence within a region.  For entire generations of families to live together under one roof, the Ferae way of living did not mix will with the expected standards of culture. They tried using the typical explanation of the Beta male being the uncle, but that did not fly when he never married and had a family of his own.  And no alpha in his right mind would allow his husband to marry another, thereby severing their bond and tearing the family apart.  It just wouldn't happen.

Disney Princesses Speaking In Their Native Language

I got this from my friend Clare Dargin.  She and I had an interesting discussion regarding these fairy tales.  One of the many insights we gained was that Disney is a great purveyor of romances.

Though their source material may not have always had an HEA or Happily Ever After i.e. The Little Mermaid, but once they (Disney) get their hands on it-- it is transforms and receives an amazing Happily Ever After often more grand than the books we romance writers normally author.

Also, the author of this video added a character from Hercules I was not familiar with, it was a nice touch! But Clare pointed out that the author or the singer probably didn't have the language as historically accurate as they'd hoped because she (Clare) wasn't sure if the character was singing modern Greek which is different from classical Greek or Koine Greek which may have been spoken during that time.  So that's where my knowledge about the whole Greek discussion ends...any more questions on that and you'll have to ask Clare.

You know it's all Greek to me.

Plus it was so cool to find out that The Frog Prince story was based on the life of a real person and that it was an original piece of literature according to the video's author.  Not sure what he/she meant by that because I thought it too had been a folk tale but I guess not!

So it was very informative!  I loved this video! I hope you liked it too.

P.S. strangely absent was Pocahontas....  And what did he/she mean in the video when they stated that of all the princesses, Disney considered Snow White 'the purest'?  She's the youngest I think--- 14 but what were the others doing in between scenes?  I'm just sayin'.

K!  Bye!

Dangerous Reality, Book 1 of The Bent Zealots MC by Layla Wolfe

Keep your lovers close—and your enemies in bed.

My club sent me to track him down.  And when my mission was over, I never wanted another one again.  When I found him, I kicked the crap out of Havelock Singer.  I issued the mightiest beat down of all time.  Problem is, we’re evenly matched.  We’re equals in every way, and when we finished whaling on each other, exhausted, we fell into each other’s arms.

It’s been the ride of my life.  But loving another man in the MC world is a risky business.  As if our business isn’t already brutal and ruthless enough, Lock’s sergeant-at-arms Stumpy blackmails us into doing some of his dirty work, or be exposed for what we are—a couple of deviants.

This run into the Indian reservation is sleazy and beneath us, but now I’m cornered, and I’ll do anything to keep my sweet Master Lock from being lynched by his club.

When that kingpin Carmine Rojas got a load of my beautiful stallion Turk Blackburn, he’d stop at nothing to have him.  It’s my fault we’re in this situation.  I should’ve kicked Turk’s ass and sent him packing back to The Bare Bones.
I can hear my destiny calling me.  Either I’ll slink back to my club like a slimy bounty hunter with no morals—and no respect from anyone in my own backyard—or I’ll step up to the plate and be the lion of the day.
Either way, we’re screwed. Our clubs are going to hound us underground or into another country before we escape this mess—if we don’t die trying.

Publisher’s warning:  This book is not for the faint of heart.  It contains scenes of gay sex, consensual BDSM, illegal doings, dubious consent, and man-on-man violence.

Release Day Blitz- Shopping For a Billionaire's Fiancee by Julia Kent

All of our best dates end up in the emergency room....

I planned the perfect proposal. Plenty of lobster, caviar, champagne and--her favorite--tiramisu. The perfect setting. The perfect woman. The perfect everything.

Dad gave me my late mother's engagement ring, platinum and diamonds galore. Shannon wouldn't care if I slid a giant hard-candy ring on her finger instead of a three-carat diamond designed to impress. But my future mother-in-law, Marie, will pass out when she sets eyes on that rock, which will give us two minutes of blessed silence. That woman talks more than Kim Kardashian flashes her naked backside on the internet.

I was going to make it perfect, from the color of the tablecloth to the freshness of the roses. And it was perfect.

Until Shannon swallowed the ring.

Shopping for a Billionaire's Fiancée gives near-billionaire Declan McCormick the chance to tell his story in this continuation of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Shopping for a Billionaire series.

Grace Ryles

Second chance at Love

Here is a good friend of mine first book and a little about her . ENJOY!!!!

Grace Ryles currently lives in Orlando, Florida with her beloved husband. Originally from New York, Grace grew up fast and learned a lot of truths at a young age. Early on, she realized the escape that books could give her from a world that was less than understanding. As a teenager, Grace began writing stories inspired by her environment and her favorite authors. Though she never attempted to publish them, writing became a new escape, one where she could create the perfect ending for the underdog. Grace’s stories always had a common factor. The end result was always an HEA. Writing took a back burner as life intruded but reading always remained as a deep passion. It wasn’t until reading her first ménage, Divine Grace by Heather Rainier, that she discovered the love of polyamorous relationships. Her writing sprang back to life and that’s when Second Chance at Love was created, displaying her love for the polyamory lifestyle.

I am an up and coming new cover designer and other artwork designer that would love your time :)

Rogue Seduction; A Shapeshifter Erotic Romance by Cara Adams

Summer Grussell’s brother vanished six months ago. When some others are sent to help the rogue pack, she goes, too, to look for him. Christopher Blake and Roland Ellis take one look at Summer and wonder if she’s the mate they’ve been looking and hoping for.

Chris, Roland, and six other men left their pack in Idaho after their Alpha refused to accept the Supreme Alpha’s ruling that ménages and interspecies marriages were permitted. They’ve moved to the Nevada desert and established a new community. Now all they need is to find a way to survive and then they can look for mates.

Alpha Wolfric is going to help them settle in the desert, and maybe, just maybe, Summer will be their woman. If she can forgive them for accidentally kidnapping Jaz. And if they can adjust to the heat. And then there’s the tiny problem of how to earn a living in the middle of nowhere.

“Sit down, Tony.”

“Don’t be such an idiot, Boyd. You’ll get arrested.”

Summer flicked her gaze up into the rearview mirror of the school bus in time to see two boys with their naked asses pressed to the windows as a Jeep passed them on the track. A lot of screaming was coming from the very back of the bus, where a fight seemed to have broken out.

So many kids were out of their seats and moving around now the bus was rocking, and Summer eased off the accelerator, reached for her microphone and ordered, “Everyone sit down please.”

No one paid her any attention. In fact, the shouting and screaming got louder. She slowed the big bus even farther and spoke again. “People, get back in your seats right now, thank you.”

No response.

Summer Grussell loved machinery, cars, trucks, anything with wheels. Even as a child she’d been more interested in playing with her older brother Kevin’s Tonka trucks than with her own Barbie dolls. So when he’d said he was visiting a friend for a few weeks she’d been happy to take over his job driving the school bus.

That had been six months ago and he still hadn’t returned, and right now she was no longer prepared to put up with the job. The kids had always been loud, unruly, and disrespectful, but this she was not prepared to tolerate. Even if it got her terminated.

She stopped the bus in the middle of the track and turned the engine, and therefore the air-conditioning, off. Then she stood up and starting taking pictures on her cell phone. The first ones she took were images of the naked rear ends of the two older teenage boys who seemed to consider mooning any passing traffic, or the other kids on the bus, funny.

She sent the pictures to her own e-mail account immediately, in case one of the kids took the cell phone from her, and snapped several pictures of a group of middle school children standing in the center of the bus, pushing and shoving each other. The rules were that all children must remain seated until the bus stopped. Technically it had just stopped, but no one seemed to have noticed that yet.

She sent those pictures to her e-mail as well. Finally she snapped a few general crowd shots in case the faces of the misbehaving ones weren’t clear. It’d be obvious who they were by process of elimination.

She’d scarcely e-mailed them to herself when a couple of older boys yelled out, “Why the fuck have you stopped?”

She hit record on her phone just in time to catch the swear word, and grinned, sitting back in her seat but not answering. She took the precaution of putting her cell phone down her bra, still leaving it recording. There’d be no more pictures of course, but at least there’d be sound if one of those teenagers hit her, and anyone who took it from her would be up on charges of harassment.

“Hey, bitch, driver, I’m talking to you. Why aren’t you driving the damn bus?”

Summer continued to wait, hoping her cell phone caught the noise gradually abating. Only when the bus was comparatively quiet did she speak again. “Ladies and gentlemen, if you care to be seated, and if those older gentlemen, put their pants back on, then the bus will continue to take you home.”

She watched in the rear view mirror. There was some soft snickering and giggling, and most of the fighting middle school students had returned to their seats, but a group of older boys had not. Right then the two ringleaders, turned around and mooned her.

Damn. I wish I’d gotten that on my phone.

Maybe some of the other students would have taken a picture.

The two boys swaggered up to the front of the bus. Fortunately they’d pulled their jeans up so she wasn’t forced to see their genitals.

One of them leaned right over into her personal space and said, “Who do you think you are, bitch? Drive the fucking bus.”

“Yeah,” added the other one helpfully.

“It will be my pleasure to drive the bus, once you’re all seated. Health and safety regulations require all students to be in their seats when the bus is moving.”

“I don’t want to sit down and you can’t make me.”

The boy clearly expected her to argue with him, but Summer looked through him, to the rest of the passengers. Some of the other boys were coming forward now. She was starting to feel a little nervous. They were only teenagers but there were half a dozen of them and they would be more than a match for a sole woman. Thank God her phone was taping this altercation.

“If you aren’t going to drive we’ll throw you off the bus and drive it ourselves,” said the boy.

“Yeah,” said his friend, who was definitely just a follower.

“Do you have a drivers’ license for buses?” she asked.

“He hasn’t even gotten his license to drive a car yet. Sit down and stop being a fucking retard, Boyd. It’s hot and I want the air conditioning back on and I want to go home.” The speaker was an older girl, and several other people echoed her comment. Two of the boys standing in the aisle disappeared back to their seats.

As if the girl had unleashed their voices, a chorus of other children called out, saying they were hot, too, and telling the boys to sit down and be quiet.

“I still say we throw the bitch off the bus and drive it ourselves,” argued Boyd.

Summer was beginning to think she might have to fight them off. She absolutely couldn’t let them attempt to drive the bus and risk the lives of thirty other children just to stroke their testosterone-fueled male egos. But fortunately the older girl who’d spoken first stood up in her seat holding her cell phone in the air.

“I’ve pressed 9-1-1. On the count of three I’m pressing call. One… two—”

Everyone in the aisle raced for their seats except Boyd and his echo. But the follower did show a modicum of sense. He tapped Boyd’s arm and said, “Um. Boyd?”

Is it possible the walls already began to crumble beneath that willow tree? Will all of her successful endeavors lead her to the one she thought most unattainable?

Story Excerpt:

“So? What now? Did you think of something?”

“Yeah. Get your coat and boots on.”

“Why? Where are we going?” I stood up from the couch wondering what he had planned. The last thing I really wanted to do was go out in the cold.

“Just trust me. Bundle up, okay?”

When we reached the entryway, we grabbed our winter garb. I put my scarf and hat on too. Caden opened the door, bag in hand, and he indicated for me to exit first. It was just after eleven o’clock at night. There was about two inches of snow on the ground.

“Where are we going?” I asked him again as he closed the door behind us. “It’s late and very cold.”

“Are you cold already?”

“No, not at the moment but it is cold out, and I am sure I will be freezing soon.”

He grabbed my hand and we strolled down the lighted sidewalk together. The Christmas lights on the houses were breathtaking. Some of the houses were pitch black inside obviously a sign of everyone all nestled in their beds waiting for Santa to come. Still, others were all lit up in the midst of parties. Some had a few lights on. I wondered if they were parents getting ready for the next morning.

“Penny for your thoughts?”

Just because I was thinking about something didn’t mean I wanted to share it. I sighed. Caden squeezed my hand and looked at me waiting for an answer. “I was just picturing the moms and dads putting presents under the trees for their kids, and then how happy the kids would all be in the morning when they came downstairs to see all the surprises.”

We were walking toward the park. “Miya, you are going to have that someday too.”

“It would have been nice to have it when I was little. As for the future, I don’t think so, Caden. It’s not for me. It’s not what I know.”

He pulled my hand, halting me, and turning me around to face him. “And why not? Don’t you want that kind of life someday?”

“Ah, see that is where the difference between wanting and being capable of having come into play.”

“You can have anything you want, Miya. You just have to want it. Don’t ever want anything less because you think you aren’t capable of it. You are stronger and smarter than that.”

I turned away and continued walking with him in silence. All I could think about were the Christmases I had growing up. For me, they were just another day on the calendar. There was one thing though. Somehow, every Christmas morning, there was a present waiting on the front porch for me. I wasn’t sure who it was from or how it got there. When I was little, I always pretended Santa left it there instead of inside since we never had a tree. As I got older, it remained a puzzle. I never questioned it aloud, but I was always grateful for the surprise.

Once we got to the park, Caden opened up the bag and pulled out a blanket. He set it under the weeping willow tree, the same weeping willow tree under which I lost my virginity — to him. I smiled at him.

“What are you doing?” A quiet, nervous laugh escaped me. I tried to control the butterflies in my tummy, but my best friend’s sweet gestures were getting to me. My mind and body had to stay on the same playing field. He is my best friend, I reminded myself.

“We’re having a picnic.” He went about setting everything up.

“You do realize that it is really late, in Ohio, in December and -” I looked up at the sky as the snowflakes started falling lightly on my face. “And it’s snowing.”

“Yep.” He patted a spot on the blanket next to him, and then handed me a thermos. I took a sip of the delicious hot chocolate just the way his mom made it.

“Good, huh? I put ten mini marshmallows in it, just like you like it.” He took a sip of his own.

“Perfect.” I took another sip. I don’t know how I came to prefer that number of marshmallows. When I was little, I always thought ten was the perfect amount. The warm treat felt so good traveling down my throat, warming my insides. “What else you got in there?” I tried peeking into the bag, but he was already digging some goodies out.

“Cheese and crackers, and cookies too.”

“Well, look at you, Caden Walker. If we weren’t best friends, I would think this a very romantic date.” My words served as a reminder for myself, and for Caden. We were best friends and I did not want anything to change.

He sighed with a grin, leaned up against the tree pulling me close. He pressed a kiss to the top of my head. We sat there for a while just taking in our surroundings, and enjoying our hot chocolate and snacks.

Then Caden finally spoke. “I know you are still thinking about what I said, and I will say it again and again if I need to. You just have to want it, Miya.”

Adult Excerpt:

I looked over at Caden who had become very quiet all of a sudden. “What?” His eyes were an intense brown. He wore a determined an expression on his face.

“So, JW Events, huh?” He scooted closer to me. Passion filled his eyes.

I nodded and my heart started to race. Breathlessly, I whispered, “Caden, I…” As soon as his name escaped my mouth, his covered mine. His lips were soft, but his kiss was hungry. I was shocked at first. Instantly my body sobered up. At the same time, my lips parted and my tongue flirted with his. My body relaxed, and my arms wound around his neck. He pulled me close.

Caden kissed my neck. “Tell me to stop, Miya, if you don’t want this.”

I couldn’t say a damn thing. I should have, but I didn’t want to. We were roommates. We were best friends. His family took me in when I had no one. My abusive past had left me totally fucked up but right now, my brain and my body weren’t on the same planet. I took a deep breath and melted into his arms. All logic flew right out the window. I was a woman. He was a man, a mighty fine one too, and that was all that mattered now.

Caden picked me up and cradled me in his arms. He carried me into my bedroom. His legs were as steady as could be, despite the tequila shots we had consumed. He broke the kiss only long enough to look into my eyes. “I want you, Miya.”

I cupped his face and devoured his mouth. He put me down and swiftly pulled my T-shirt off over my head. I pulled his off with the same immediate need. He yanked my yoga pants and thong down in one fell swoop. He took a step back and looked at me. “Damn. You are so fucking beautiful.”

“Caden,” I whispered through my panting breath, and pulled him back toward me. I shoved down his sweats and boxer briefs. He pushed me down on the bed. He parted my legs and his mouth immediately descended onto my sex. His tongue lapped my slit over, and over again. It settled on my tight swollen nub as his fingers thrust in me.

“Oh, God,” I moaned as my fingers mussed up his hair and clenched there. Just as I was on the brink, he stopped and his hard cock filled me.

“Fuck Miya. You feel so good.” He pulled back out and thrust in harder. His thrusts became harder and harder each time.

His mouth and hands caressed my breasts, while my own explored every damn sexy muscle on his body. My legs started to quiver as my pussy contracted around his cock. I emitted a passionate moan as I rode out the waves of my orgasm. My body milked Caden, and he joined me with his own low guttural growl.

Micah and Erik Are Exactly Perfect For Each Other But Can They Get Through The Pain? Heart's Volition by Frey Ortega

Micah Faraday is an incubus with a rough past, one that includes being held captive by not one, but two psychotic madmen, and having a rough time acclimating to believing he’s worth being loved, let alone being a person. Surviving day by day isn’t really living it, and one day Micah made the decision to die. Of course, until he makes the mistake of binding himself to the phoenix named Erik Anderson.

Erik is exactly what Micah needs but doesn’t think he wants: grounded, stable, reliable, and he doesn’t know when to give up. He seeks to understand Micah and to help him through his pain, but he also has to contend with a world he’s not familiar with.

In the midst of all of the chaos that surrounds them, Micah and Erik go on a journey of learning to trust and understanding that some of the worst choices we’ve made end up being the best ones after all.

Story Excerpt:

Micah Faraday was royally screwed, and not in the good way most incubi would have liked.
It all started when he brought Erik Anderson into his life. Saving the man by binding himself to Erik hadn’t been a part of his life plan, but there was a little seed of thought inside of Micah that told him that if he could provide an inkling of good in the world by saving a life, then he wouldn’t die completely useless. He hadn’t counted on Erik actually wanting to be with him, though.

The moment the mating bond snapped into place between the two of them, Micah knew he was screwed, because there was an actual chance that Erik actually wanted him, and Micah couldn’t admit to himself that he —no, yearned for—another person to like him.

Now, he had someone who wanted him. Erik was many things to Micah even though they’d only been mated a short while. The phoenix was a lot of unknowns, certainly, but the one thing Micah knew about the man was that they were bound together irreversibly, and it seemed Erik was okay with that, much to Micah’s surprise and chagrin.

And they hadn’t had sex, well, ever, though that wasn’t so much a problem since they’d only been mated for three weeks. Although, Micah definitely felt the pangs of hunger inside him, a hunger that wouldn’t be sated by any meal, and it was something that only Erik could give him. As an incubus, he needed to feed in other ways than just eating food. Being bound to someone else just made this need stronger, this need to feed, to play with, and to devour the man he was bound to.

Not to mention the fact that the man with wild, blond hair, ice-blue eyes and a perpetual, lopsided grin on his face was like sex on a stick. Micah needed to mentally fan himself whenever he even turned to look at Erik, and something inside him constantly tried to propel him into Erik’s arms. He needed to stay away.

Because of the way he was trying hard not to feed from Erik, Micah’s mind trailed off from time to time into some state where he constantly felt exhausted, sometimes to the point of catatonia. It felt as though the world around his would cease to exist, and it brought him some peace of mind even as he sat there, unresponsive.

Back when he had been abducted, so much of his time was spent feeling the rhythm of a machine press into him on all ends that there were times that he almost felt one with the machine. Every so often, when his body throbbed, he could feel everything around him disappear, and he would be sucked into his thoughts, daydreaming and not paying attention to anything else, really.

Much like this moment, where Micah was seated in the middle of an apartment in Hell’s Kitchen, the apartment he now lived in with his newfound “mate.” A whole group of his roommates were seated in the living room. Erik was waving his hand about in front of Micah’s face to try and capture his attention, and two couples were off on the other side staring at him like he’d just lost his head. Zack had an arm draped over the back of the couch, with one leg drawn up while Rain was leaning forward, his legs splayed out in a comfortable sitting position, his fingers tented.

Then there was Kai, who was settled right against Darius, his head against the gargantuan man’s shoulder. Erik, of course, was to one side, with that lopsided, sexy-as-sin grin on his face and the way his arm draped over the back of the couch, his body language just screaming honest and open and everything Micah just wanted to touch and feel and…do a lot of other things to.

Micah was so deep, deep into his reverie that he hadn’t realized he was actually talking to a group of people. One minute he was listening to Kai tell a story, when Erik’s arm tightened around him slightly and he careened into oblivion. Part of it was extreme hunger.

Times like these, Micah missed the freedom of being able to feed from the energy of the world around him. Now, it was as though everything was funneled—and amplified—by the big, Nordic-looking lug beside him. It was just one of the many double-edged swords when he bound himself to Erik weeks ago. When Erik started to feel worried, Micah lost the already tenuous supply of energy he had, and it made his mind attempt to shut down to try and conserve what little energy he had left inside him.

But he knew he couldn’t. Micah could see the looks on the faces of his friends and he had to come back. He blinked rapidly, before turning to the source of the voice trying to talk to him.

“Earth to Micah, come in, Micah,” Kai said. “You still with us, space cadet?”

“Huh, what?” Micah blinked and turned to Kai. “Oh, I’m sorry. I was just thinking…”

“Care to share with the rest of the class?” Kai grinned.

“No, not specifically,” Micah said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as a tinge of red appeared on his cheeks. “It’s nothing serious.”

“Party pooper. No, seriously, we’re worried. You’ve been spacing out a lot.” Kai frowned.
“Not to mention, you’ve gotten pretty pale.”

“It’s just incubi stuff, don’t worry,” Micah replied, waving a hand absently. “Nothing to be worried about.”

Adult Excerpt:

The world around Micah was reduced to the sensations of his lover’s kiss and their embrace. Erik’s cheeks hollowed out as he sucked Micah’s bottom lip almost harshly, demanding and needy all at once as he kissed his mate. The way Erik’s stomach flexed, rigid and hard against his own softer, smoother frame, as well as the tension of the larger man’s arms as Erik drew himself closer, threatened to engulf Micah in his sultry warmth, like moth to a flame. Erik tasted so sweet—sinful, even—almost like warm, melted chocolate engulfing him with velvety softness. Micah craved more, trying to tangle his tongue against Erik’s, but their kiss ended all too soon.

Their lips finally parted with a soft suckle. Micah looked up to see Erik’s ice-blue eyes dilated, and his lips parted as he panted. The phoenix’s arms tensed, grasping the wall. Micah could even hear his mate’s nails scrape against the wood.

“You taste real good,” Erik murmured, his voice just a bit lower and more guttural than usual. Instead of retching like Micah did whenever somebody used a pet name on him, the term of endearment actually made something in his stomach do some form of a flip.

“No, no I’m not,” Micah said, his cheeks puffing up as he turned his eyes away, trying to sound as menacing as possible while his hands went up into the messy mop of near neck-length blond hair that Erik had. His fingers curled into them, combing through the locks as he peered up into his mate’s eyes, dragging his gaze along Erik’s form. It took him another few moments to speak, looking up to see an amused expression on his mate’s face. “Your hair is, though.”

“Was that a legitimate attempt at flirting?” Erik chuckled. He pressed his kiss-swollen lips right up against Micah’s once more, lightly pecking the incubus’s lips. “That was awful.” He took that moment, though, to grasp his smaller lover’s body up from the wall and hoist over to the bed, dropping the man unceremoniously onto the mattress, and making Micah bounce slightly from the force.

“No it wasn’t. I wasn’t flirting. Sh–shut up!” Micah stammered and turned to look away, his face turning bright, bright red and heat prickling at his face. He collected himself as he tried to pull away from the phoenix, curling up into a little ball near the headboard.

“Micah, look at me, pretty,” Erik drawled in a whisper.

“N–no.” There was a petulance in his voice, even as Micah stammered. “You’re making fun of me. Also, I hate that name. Can’t you just call me Micah?”

Erik’s voice was filled with mirth. “No, I wasn’t. You’re cute and I like it, so stop hiding yourself away, all right? Come on, Micah. Look at me.”

If it weren’t for the fact that Erik stopped saying the word pretty and actually called Micah by his real name, he wouldn’t have looked.

Micah turned his gaze slowly to see Erik’s hands grasping the edges of his shirt. Almost in time with the sweep of Micah’s eyes upward, Erik undressed right before him, revealing his broad, muscled frame. Micah’s eyes were drawn to the perfect hills of his lover’s abdomen, to the small treasure trail of dark blond hair that surrounded his lover’s peach-colored nipples down into his pants. The incubus’ breath hitched. His fingers clenched around the covers of the bed. In that moment, there was only Erik, and suddenly Micah felt so warm in the clothes he wore that he began to perspire just a bit.

Erik, of course, didn’t look so fazed, though he did permeate arousal in every movement of his body. In fact, he’d started to remove his pants, too, revealing a cock that was already pointed up, smacking against his belly right below his belly button. He grinned and his head lifted, tongue darting out to lick over his lips. Like a panther, he stalked forward, crawling up the bed until he loomed right over Micah in all his naked glory.

Micah couldn’t believe this was happening. He wanted so badly to resist, but his impulse control was shot to hell. Erik was fulfilling his mate’s needs and desires at that moment, the cloud of passion and energy permeating them both fueling Micah. It wasn’t just his lust, either. Micah could feel his strength coming back to him, flowing back into him. The small incubus didn’t know that it could feel like this.

From the many stories Micah had heard about incubi who’d bonded who didn’t at least have sex once a week with their partners, it was a wonder he was still alive.

True, he’d already been weak and starving for some time, but he was able to get by just from feeding off of the happiness of the people around him, and it wasn’t such a big problem without being bonded. An unbound cubi could simply feast on whoever they desired, eating up the pleasure—which was also why they were so sexual—of almost everyone around them and ensuring their survival. But now, it was different. With Erik and their bond in the picture, his body now craved and yearned for nourishment from the phoenix. After all, Micah’s life now depended on a single person.

Deep in his reverie, he hadn’t even realized that Erik had removed his pants, though his shirt remained on his body. It was only when he was being flipped over, his face resting against the mattress and his legs in the air, held in place by Erik’s strong arms, that Micah was able to realize what was happening. Erik’s face pressed in between his cheeks, making Micah’s eyes widen in surprise. “E–Erik, what are you doing—ah!”

Eradicating The Four Demons In Your Life...

...Personal advice from an expert.

"...The demons most of us have to deal with are primordial negative emotions that cause us to shrink, fall back and hunker down into smallness. All plans and dreams of happiness, boldness and abundance atrophy when confronted with these four demons."  - Coach Mark Divine

According to a British Newspaper article, scientists have suggested that uncontrollable rage may be cured by drugs like aspirin due to their anti-inflammatory properties. Intermittent explosive disorder, which is sometimes known as ‘anger syndrome’, researchers have noted that sufferers of this syndrome (whose symptoms include impulsive, hostile and recurrent aggressive outbursts of anger) have higher markers of inflammation in the blood than those with cooler heads and average tempers.  [See Rest Of Article Here]

But for those of us where this is not the case, retired Navy Seal Mark Divine suggests that there is another way.

"Eradicating the four demons from your life is so crucial that I wanted to take some more time to examine each one in depth. You need to to detect and interdict these buggers before they sink in their fangs and drag you into a personal hell. We will then examine the negative behaviors that these feelings manifest, and consider healthy behaviors to habituate in their stead. The four demons all stem from the primordial emotion of Fear. They are Anger, Anxiety, Arrogance and Absence of Self Love. We will examine the first demon, anger."

"So Angry You Could Scream

Unbridled anger feels uncontrollable. Anger is associated with fear of loss, especially loss of reputation, material things, freedom and identity. Our deeply grooved ego identification and attachment to independence, roles, positions, ideas, ideals, wealth, toys and other people causes us to experience anger when their removal occurs."

Paranormal Love Wednesday- Creation's Control; A Scifi Erotic BDSM M/M Romance by Marie Harte

It's all about control…

Now freed from the labs where he was created, tested and tortured, Ryen can't cope with the violent needs pressing him. The men on planet Mardu can't fight worth a damn and he can't chance sex with the females because he doesn't want to hurt anyone. Then there's Drekk, always bugging him, pushing him, attracting him…?

Drekk knows what it's like to have the needs only a Creation can experience. He's learned to blend in with the populace and balance a Creation's desire to submit with his own powerful personality. He'll teach Ryen the same, but it won't be easy. With the help of some 'tough love', he's sure he can show Ryen a measure of peace. In the process, he'll find himself both the master and the slave when he submits to the connection growing between them and falls in love.

“You didn’t complain about the coya fruit last night.” Drekk’s bland tone contrasted with the wicked look in his eyes.

“Asshole,” Ryen muttered as he attacked the plate Drekk set before him. Much as Drekk annoyed him, the jerk also amused him.

“Damn, is that a smile I see?” Drekk stared in mock astonishment.

“Cut it out.” Ryen’s grin grew wider.

“I think I may pass out from the shock.”

“Good. Then I’ll get my hands on that controller and fly out of here.”

“Have fun searching for it.”Drekk rubbed his chest. “I hid it on my body today.”

Ryen wanted to look for it, right now. Shaking free of such thoughts, he tried to focus on his food. But as he ate, he couldn’t stop glancing at Drekk’s sculpted chest through the v-neck of the vest he wore. Nor could he avoid the large arms Drekk flashed as he gesticulated while he ate. The taciturn man he’d once thought Drekk to be never seemed to shut up.

Oddly, Synster’s warnings of perversions and unnatural longings seemed less significant each day Ryen spent in Drekk’s company. What could it hurt to indulge in some human curiosity? Drekk was a hardy male. Ryen wouldn’t break him, as Drekk had said. Which made Ryen wonder what it would be like to lose control during sex, to let it all out...

“Okay. Today we work on your control.” Drekk stood and put his dishes into the wash receptacle. “If you finish that mound on your plate, we’ll get started.”

Ryen finished his meal in record time, eager to see what Drekk had in mind—to hasten his exit out of this place, he reminded himself. “We going to lose the cuffs today?”

“You’re kidding, right? You’re going to need them later.”

Ryen immediately went on alert. “Why?”

“See? That’s why. I’m just screwing with you, and you’re ready to take my head off. I’m trying to teach you a new way to live, Ryen. I can’t be on my guard one hundred percent. Once you ‘hit the wall’, like I know you will, we’ll both be glad for the cuffs.”

“You keep threatening it. Just do it. Push me as hard as you can. Watch me handle it.”

Ryen could taste his excitement. “I’ve been good the past three days, haven’t I?”

Drekk shook his head. “You’re not ready yet. Get over here and assume Petal One hand position.” When Ryen hesitated, Drekk turned mean. “Now.”

The need to obey hit him hard. Off balance, Ryen grumbled as he sat down and crossed his legs, but he had no thought to refuse. He tuned out of his surroundings and followed Drekk’s instruction. Soon basking in the harmony within himself, Ryen came to a sudden realisation, one that both shocked and unnerved him. He wanted to submit to Drekk, to a male who had saved his life, but who hadn’t bested him in combat. Emotionally stable and even-tempered, superior when it came to control, Drekk had yet to prove himself in an all-out fight.

Why do I want to submit now that I’m free? How fucked up am I? Uncomfortable with the truth, Ryen pulled himself from his meditative state.

Drekk sat across from him, his legs crossed and his arms assuming Petal One position above his head, his hands entwined. Drekk’s sluggish pulse and stillness told Ryen he’d entered a similar state of calm.

The strong column of Drekk’s throat rippled when he swallowed. The scent of honeyed citrus lingered on his skin, from the blan juice he’d consumed. Muscles tanned by the harsh sun strained as he held his pose, and Ryen wanted to feel that skin under his palms. To cause the male’s rosy nipples to pebble, to feel the delineated form of Drekk’s abdomen as Ryen worked his way lower.

The temptation Drekk had planted, to see if sex with a male would equal what he imagined, taunted Ryen to take what he wanted. The advantage was his for the moment. With Drekk inwardly focused, Ryen could take him down. Not to harm him, but to test his friend’s—the man’s—reflexes. Now, when Drekk was vulnerable, Ryen could take what he needed, a warrior’s right. It wouldn’t be rape, he knew. Drekk had openly admitted he wanted Ryen. What better way, then, to see if Ryen returned the attraction wholeheartedly? But under Ryen’s direction, not Drekk’s. Ryen pounced.

He pinned Drekk underneath him in two seconds, one hand over the male’s entwined hands, holding him to the ground, the other around Drekk’s neck.

“One word from you and I’ll disable your tongue.” The angle of his fingers under Drekk’s jaw meant business. “Nod if you understand.”

Drekk glared and nodded.

“Good.” Ryen couldn’t help his arousal, nor could he miss the hardening bulge in Drekk’s trousers. “I’m not going to hurt you,” he mimicked. “I just need to confirm something.”

Drekk remained still, curiosity warring with the anger in his gaze. Ryen didn’t care. He’d danced to Drekk’s tune, now it was his turn.

Ryen studied Drekk’s face, lingering on his lips. Wanting more, he slowly lowered his mouth. Drekk started to speak and Ryen tightened his hand.

“I know you feel my hand around your neck. I’m not playing, Drekk. Shut up and let this. I need to know.”

With a sigh, Drekk surrendered. The power crushing through Ryen swamped him. Heady that he’d regained control, he kissed Drekk full on the mouth. Unlike a female’s soft lips, Drekk’s felt firmer. Ryen plundered his mouth with a seeking tongue, tasting the sexual essence of Drekk as his excitement grew.

He ground into Drekk’s belly, rubbing his cock along Drekk’s while he deepened the kiss. Groaning, he loosened his hold on Drekk’s throat and devoured the male. He tasted so damned good, so familiar yet foreign at the same time. Lust built into an all-consuming blaze as Ryen took and took. Drekk moaned under his assault, and it was all Ryen could do to give him some air.

He removed his hands from Drekk’s throat and wrists, caught in his own game. Leaning up on one elbow, he ripped Drekk’s shirt down the middle and pinched his nipples. Harder, with a roughness that made him want to burst.

“Fuck,” Ryen growled and latched onto Drekk’s nipple. So unlike the flesh he normally played with, the feel of solid muscle under the taut nipple aroused Ryen with its difference. No fleshy mound, but a steely plane of strength under such tender skin.

Drekk arched into his mouth and thrust against him, pushing Ryen to take more. In a frenzy, he shoved his hand down Drekk’s trousers and gripped his hot cock. Drekk moaned his name.

“Oh yeah. Better.” Ryen returned his attention to Drekk’s chest. He bit hard. Drekk sucked in a breath and moisture beaded at the tip of his shaft. “Stop,” Drekk breathed when Ryen let go of his shaft to massage his balls.

The feel of another man’s shaft hard and slick for him sent Ryen over the edge. Like an animal, he tore at Drekk’s clothes. He nipped and sucked, laving his way down Drekk’s body, using any and all excuse to rub against his grey-eyed seducer.

“More,” Ryen rasped until he captured Drekk’s cock in his mouth. So fucking good... He let go of the pheromones bursting at the seams.
